Biblical Text: Matthew 2:9~13

9. After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

10. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.

11. on coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

12. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

13. When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."

Sermon: Who was joyful of Jesus' birth?

In a TV programme "Undercover Boss", I found an episode; an undercover boss was working a small market by supervising of a manager. Usually, managers ignored old and fat freshman workers. However the manager did not. He knew the boss' talents and then taught in detail and help him so much. After this, the boss called him to the main office and give higher position to manage company. Why? the manager knew him even though he was undercover.

Today words given from God shows how Christmas blessing is coming to those who know Jesus Christ like the manager.

We can see two kinds of people who knew Jesus' coming to the earth. one is the King of Judea, Herlod who wanted to control the country forever. So, as soon as Magj asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." He was in fear and told a lie like ""Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him." He wanted to kill the baby who would be born as a king of Kings in Isarael. so

The other one is magi from the east. They deserved to worship Jesus Christ. First of all, they followed to Star which guided him by faith.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."(Hebrew 11:6)

Although the baby Jesus was born in poor manger of stable, they worship his parents and him by Gold, myrrh and incense. They went to there for three or four months just following the star.

Also we can know those who worship Jesus Christ and praise God like Magi. They are gentile from the east however, they worship him praising God who sent him to us. They were true worshipers.

I wish you become true worshipers and so you must be blessed at Christmas.
